Our first game back to the season proved difficult for the super twos, with no keeper and 26 degrees heat, we were all feeling the summer break catching up on us. Our opposition, Havering immediately set a high press and put away their first goal within five minutes. Soon after, the team found their feet and we began to push back, we had kept up a good defence and began pushing for a goal taking advantage of our extra player on the pitch. However, our left mid Neve Harrison unfortunately got injured leaving her out for the rest of the game. Once again Havering took advantage of our 10 players and got their second goal.
After half time we had a few hopeful opportunities with three short corners, but we just couldn’t make the comeback, having no subs was taking its toll. Havering landed their final goal leaving the game at a 3-0 loss.
Next week we are up against Old Loughts at home, let’s get a win!
