Southend & Benfleet 1st XI played bottom of the table Romford at home. The home side quickly got on the scoreboard with the first of two goals from Sarah Conway. The second came from Nicola Bryant from a penalty corner slipped behind the goalkeeper. Ashlie Colman and Caitlin Meredith got in on the scoring action before Romford took advantage of a lapse in concentration to put a goal past the S&B defence. However more goals followed in the second half with Ashlie Colman making her hat-trick and player of the match Caitlin Meredith getting another. Captain Kirsty Durban celebrated her brace and a 10-1 win.
