Southend & Benfleet 1st XI - 1 (Kirsty Edmunds)
Folkestone 1st XI - 1
S&B were beaten 4-0 by Folkestone at the away leg so they were hoping to do better for the home fixture. However Folkestone got off to a strong start with some precision passing and movement into the D. In a crunch moment Rachel Jeffery in defence saved a shot on the line and Folkestone were awarded a penalty flick. The team watched nervously but player of the match Lisa Hawkins coolly saved the flick. Buoyed up, S&B managed to hold Folkestone to 0-0 at half-time. Heads went down in the second half as Folkestone scored but a long ball out right to Kirsty Durban was all she needed to weave through the Folkestone defence and slot it past the keeper. Ten minutes to go and S&B held onto the draw and gained another valuable point.
