Southend & Benfleet 1st played Crostyx away, losing 4-0. Crostyx scored first in open play after a scuffle in front of goal. In the second half Southend and Benfleet had most of the possession, with player of the match Chloe Syvrett linking with Georgia Durban and Lily Cole. Southend & Benfleet had a number of chances but Crostyx scored three more goals from well drilled penalty corners.
Coach Richard Turner said: ‘The team played really well. We most definitely didn’t deserve to lose 4-0’.
