S&B Super 2’s knew they were in for a tough afternoon in the wind and rain away with Old Loughts 3’s showing within 5 minutes why they are top of the league. Some excellent penalty corner routines and picking off any through balls from S&B meant that Old Loughts scored at regular intervals in the first half, leading 5-0 at half time.

The team regrouped and ironed out a few issues coming out in the second half with renewed energy and determination. They succeeded in getting to grips with Old Loughts fast attacking play and limited them to just one more goal. A tough afternoon resulted in the 2’s first significant loss of the season, but credit to their resilience during the latter part of the game. Another tough game is around the corner with S&B 2’s hosting Maldon 2’s.
