Fabulous 4’s beat Witham 1-0 at home. An amazing team performance. After a shaky first 10 mins S&B settled into the game and put on a great display of hockey.. The midfield were dominated by Holly O, Izzy M and Mya O who ran around tirelessly getting around the Witham players. Katie E and Lesley pounced on every ball but were unable to beat the Witham goalie who was fantastic.
The break came from a short corner routine with Lesley Tonking slotting the ball in putting the home team in front.
Whilst the second half was much the same Witham stepped up their game putting pressure on the home team. Emily C cut out ball after ball across the pitch from Witham preventing them from being able to press too high earning herself POM. Despite the many chances again in the second half that S&B created pressing high and piling pressure on Witham, the home team couldn't score again past the Witham goalie. Fantastic all round performance showing what the young S&B team can do and how well they are improving each week.
