The Fantastic 4’s finished the season with another great win over Chelmsford today. It took 10 minutes for the home side to get into the game during which time Chelmsford pushed high and worried the S&B defence for the only time in the game. The black and pink army then woke up and dominated the rest of the game.
A goal at 15 minutes from Katie E settled the home team and gave them the confidence to play their own game. They kept possession and made so many great runs into the Chelmsford D, but shot after shot was stopped by the away keeper.
It was 1-0 at half time and the home team continued their game of possession with outstanding performances by the youngsters Lucy P, Izzy M, Katie A and Lexi H running the ball into the D, hassling the away defence and shooting time after time. They were also amazing stopping the ball coming past the half way line, ensuring we kept possession. The S&B defence weren't really troubled in the second half and Lea the legend goalie didn't touch the ball the whole game .Despite so many chances and shots on goal which were stopped by the outstanding Chelmsford keeper S&B couldn't get another goal but were delighted to win their last game easily.
Well done 4’s, a great season ending up in the top half of the table. Great teamwork this year and the development of the players and their remarkable skills have been a pleasure to watch. Joint POM birthday girl Katie A and Lexi H. Thank you to all of our lovely parents and supporters.
