S&B 4th XI unlucky in loss to Chelmsford 7’s

The Fantastic 4’s lost 0-2 away to Chelmsford today. The away team took some time to settle into the game, and Chelmsford scored their first goal within the first 12 minutes, catching S&B off guard. After that and a move around of players they started attacking, creating lots of good chances and dominating the game. Newbie Lexi H got stuck in and created lots of attacking chances with Neve H. The game spread out with the away team using the wings giving Lucy P and Izzy M the chance to slip the ball into the D, but the S&B team couldn't beat the experienced keeper.
In the second half S& B were the better team, with Angie C switching the ball up the right side and Katie A cutting out the Chelmsford passes preventing the home team getting into the S&B 23. Another few short corners were awarded to S&B, and despite Katie A and Lesley T hitting 2 on target, Chelmsford stopped them on the line. With not long to go Chelmsford were awarded a controversial short corner. Unfortunately keeper Lea couldn't quite get to the Chelmsford ball, allowing the home team to score their second goal. S&B battled hard moving the ball up the pitch for the last 5 minutes but just couldn't get the ball in the Chelmsford net.
