Whilst the home team had a shaky start with Romford scoring in the first 10 minutes, the pink and black army fought back. With youngster Sofia and Katie on the right passing the ball between them they attacked the Romford D. Forwards Michelle H and Lesley battered the goal until a beautiful ball in from Sofia to the top of the D fell to Stonking Tonking who slammed her first goal home 1-1. The home came out fighting and after runs up the left between youngsters Lexi, Yasmin and Millie, Lexi ran the ball into the D, passing to Captain Katie who swept in the ball to make it 2-1. S&B determined to score, kept possession of the ball guided by Emily who swept any loose balls in midfield back up the pitch to Sofia who was rewarded with a short corner. Whilst it was struck hard by Lesley and helped in by Michelle H, the goal was disallowed for not coming out of the D. Half time 2-1 to the home team.

Romford came out fighting and pressed the home defence for the first 5 minutes. They were quickly awarded a short corner and struck a beautiful shot on target but legend Lea calmly kicked it away to Lexi who ran away up the other end to attack the Romford D. After another short was awarded to S&B following an attack by Sofia and Yasmin on the left, stonking Tonking slammed the ball towards the goalie, allowing Lexi to claim her 1st goal of the game 3-1. The play then moved up the pitch but each time romford tried to move the ball around the home 23, they were thwarted by the solid defence of Gemma, Angie and Ingrid. The defence were able to easily cut out the balls, working the ball up the pitch. The home team then dominated possession for the remainder of the game, switching the play from right to left with youngsters Sofia and Lexi running rings around the experienced Romford defence. With a few minutes to go S&B were awarded another short. Lesley struck the ball from the top which was stopped by the Romford goalie but Lexi was too quick and swept the ball into the goal to get her second of the game 4-1. An absolutely fantastic display of hockey from the Fantastic 4's.
